Terms and conditions — website terms of use
These terms and conditions govern your use of this website. They set out the 18+ age restriction, a geographic advisory for the twelve northern Sharia-code states, Nigeria's new tax on betting winnings, and the offshore and VPN disclaimers relevant to the foreign-licensed operators we cover.

These terms and conditions govern your use of this website and constitute a binding agreement between you and the operator, Workstation International Co-Work. By accessing or continuing to use the site, you agree to these terms and conditions in full. If you do not accept any part of them, you must stop using the site immediately. The terms cover who may use this site, the age and geographic restrictions that apply, the tax obligations that fall on you as a reader and potential player in Nigeria, the offshore and VPN disclaimers relevant to the foreign-licensed operators we feature, and the limits of this site’s responsibility. This is an educational, information-only website about foreign (offshore) casinos and betting sites for a Nigerian audience. We are not a gambling operator, we do not accept bets, and we do not hold player funds. Nothing published here constitutes legal, tax, financial, or professional advice of any kind.

Acceptance of these terms and conditions
Your use of this website constitutes unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions. The agreement takes effect from the moment you first access any page of the site. If we update these terms — and we reserve the right to do so at any time — the revised version takes effect immediately upon publication; the current version, identified by the “last updated” date at the top of this page, governs your use. Continuing to use the site after any update constitutes acceptance of the amended terms. If the updated terms are unacceptable to you, the appropriate remedy is to cease using the site.
By accepting these terms, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement — which requires, as a minimum, that you meet the age restriction set out in the next clause. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the site complies with all laws applicable in the jurisdiction where you are located.
Age restriction — strictly 18+
This website is strictly for adults aged 18 years and over. Online gambling in Nigeria is an adult activity, and by using this site you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you must not use this site or access any of its content.
The age restriction is not merely editorial — it has practical consequences. Every licensed gambling operator featured on this site is required to verify users’ identities and ages through Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures. Operators will refuse or void accounts that fail age verification, and winnings earned on accounts that should not have been opened may be forfeited. Do not attempt to circumvent age verification at any operator. If you are concerned about a young person accessing gambling content, please visit our responsible gambling hub for guidance on parental controls and self-exclusion tools.
Where you may not use this site — geographic restriction
Geography is not a technicality on a page such as this — it is a substantive legal condition. Residents of, and anyone physically located in, the twelve northern Nigerian states that operate Sharia penal codes should not register with, deposit at, or use the operators featured on this website. Gambling is prohibited under those states’ Sharia penal codes, and enforcement is active — the Hisbah Corps in Kano State, for example, enforces these prohibitions against operators and participants alike.
The twelve Sharia-penal-code states are: Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Niger, Sokoto, Yobe, and Zamfara. This is the commonly cited list as at June 2026; the authoritative position is each state’s current penal legislation. We publish this list so that every reader can make an informed decision. We do not encourage anyone to violate the law of their state, and we do not provide guidance on circumventing state-level prohibitions.
The advisory applies regardless of how you access the internet or what technology you use. Attempting to disguise your location does not change the legal position under your state’s law; it may also breach the terms of any operator you access, with the consequences described in the VPN clause below.
Respecting local law is your responsibility
This site cannot verify each visitor’s physical location. The obligation to know and comply with the gambling law applicable where you live or are located rests entirely with you. We make reasonable efforts to publish accurate geographic information, and we do not promote gambling services to residents of states where gambling is prohibited. If you are unsure whether you are legally permitted to gamble where you are, you should seek local legal advice before using any operator featured on this site.
Foreign (offshore) operators — what this site is, and is not
The casinos and betting sites featured and reviewed on this website are licensed by foreign regulatory authorities — for example Curaçao, Anjouan, or the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). They are not licensed or regulated by Nigerian authorities. Outside the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja, lawful online gambling in Nigeria rests on state-level licensing — from bodies such as the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) or the FCT’s own authority — not from the federal National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), which the Supreme Court ruled in November 2024 has no authority over online gambling outside the FCT. Please see our legislation pages for the full constitutional analysis of that ruling.
The practical consequence for you is this: Nigerian consumer-protection mechanisms offer limited or no recourse for disputes with a foreign-licensed operator. If you deposit funds with an offshore operator and a dispute arises, you cannot rely on the LSLGA, the NLRC, or any other Nigerian body to resolve it on your behalf. You use offshore operators at your own risk. Before registering with any operator, verify its licence directly on the issuing regulator’s official website and read that operator’s own terms and conditions in full.
This site does not hold a licence for, or operate as, a gambling platform of any kind. We publish reviews and educational content; we do not facilitate deposits, withdrawals, or betting activity.
VPNs and geo-circumvention void your winnings
Many offshore operators impose geographic restrictions on players from certain jurisdictions, including Nigeria or specific Nigerian states. Using a Virtual Private Network (VPN), a proxy server, or any other method to disguise your location in order to access an operator’s platform in circumvention of that restriction generally constitutes a material breach of that operator’s terms and conditions. At most operators, such a breach voids any winnings accumulated on the account and may result in permanent account closure and confiscation of the account balance. This site does not endorse, advise, or assist users in circumventing any operator’s geographic restrictions or any jurisdiction’s applicable laws. Where an operator is unavailable in your location, that restriction should be respected.
Tax on winnings — your responsibility
Tax obligations on gambling winnings in Nigeria are a legal matter between you and the relevant revenue authorities. This site neither collects nor remits any Nigerian tax — we are an educational website, not a financial intermediary. The summary below is general factual information only; it is not tax advice. You are solely responsible for understanding and meeting your tax obligations, and you should seek guidance from a qualified tax professional if you are in any doubt.
| Who | Rate | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Nigerian resident individuals | 5% | Federal withholding tax on lottery, gaming, and betting winnings paid to individuals, effective 1 January 2025 |
| Non-resident individuals | 15% | Federal withholding tax on winnings paid to non-resident recipients, effective 1 January 2025 |
| Lagos State residents / players on Lagos-licensed platforms | 5% of net winnings | Lagos State withholding tax, deducted at point of payout on LSLGA-licensed platforms and remitted to the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service; reported from February 2026 |
The federal and Lagos State measures are legally distinct: the 5%/15% federal withholding tax is levied on the recipient of winnings; the Lagos State 5% deduction is applied at point of payout on Lagos-licensed platforms regardless of the player’s state of residence. Rates and scope have evolved rapidly; always confirm the current position against official FIRS and LSLGA guidance.
Offshore operators may or may not withhold Nigerian tax from payouts. Many will not, because they are not subject to Nigerian revenue law. If you receive winnings from a foreign-licensed operator without tax being deducted at source, the responsibility for declaring and remitting any amount due rests with you alone.
The information here is educational, not advice
All content published on this website — reviews, guides, comparisons, legal explainers, and news — is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, or professional gambling advice of any kind. Nothing on this site should be relied upon as a substitute for the professional advice of a solicitor, financial adviser, or qualified tax consultant. No outcome, payout, or financial return is promised or implied by any content on this site.
Each operator’s own terms and conditions, bonus rules, and licence conditions are the definitive source of the rules that govern your relationship with that operator. Our reviews and comparisons represent our editorial assessment at the time of writing and may not reflect subsequent changes made by the operator. Always confirm material details — particularly bonus conditions, withdrawal limits, and licence status — directly with the operator before registering or depositing funds.
Accuracy of information and external links
We take reasonable steps to ensure that the information published on this site is accurate, current, and fairly presented. However, we do not warrant that all information — including bonus amounts, withdrawal times, game counts, licensing status, and operator terms — is complete, up to date, or free from error at any given time. The gambling industry changes rapidly; operator details can change without notice. You should treat our content as a starting point for your own due diligence, not as a definitive or guaranteed statement of an operator’s current offering.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, terms, or practices of any third-party website. The inclusion of a link to an operator’s website does not constitute an endorsement of that operator, its licence, or its suitability for your particular circumstances.
